Event News
Day 1 the night formally called “Creativity Never Dies” and it sure didn’t and even with the location change the first day of the event still showed to be successful. Now showcasing at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 3800 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21218, we didn’t know what to expect because our previous mental concept had been doused, but surprisingly all of our new expectations were met. The show started shortly after 8pm with one model after another walking down a long runway with very good music blaring over every step. One song in particular stood out for us and that was Ledisi’s “Shut Up” one of our favorites off her latest CD “Pieces of Me”. Only one thing was kind of off putting was that none of the models stopped and posed at the end of the runway for their photo opportunity which kind of through the photographers off, but they quickly got into the groove and caught there shots in the end, the ultimate professionals that they are.

The first days event showcased 7 designers in which you will see some of their collections below, and they do speak for themselves. We were happy to see one of our favorite models whom we hope to work with in the future, Monyetta Mongomery (Shown right), she exudes mainstream fashion model.
The audience seemed kind of timid at the start of the show but got into the spirit of the night as each model and piece came from behind the black curtain to strut down the runway. With designers locally and internationally and the organization of Baltimore’s Fashion Week‘s Sharan Nixon and her staff is the reason why the night was so successful.
