We had a blast at the Kickoff Event for the Fashion Awards MD – Fashion Citizen at Club Mist this past Friday, August 12th. This was our first time going to the Mist and it was exactly what we expected a very open space, dance hall with your choice of 4 bars. When I say bars, I mean upon our arrival we were told drinks were $1 and that made our night already with a choice of 4 bar stations available and awaiting our order. At one point we thought the bar tenders would fight for a patron as they hit the floor to tell people to come get a drink from there bars. The Mai Tai’s were definitely on the money we should say. I will say this about the club our choice of seating, wooden stools did not make us enthusiastic about staying all night especially by the time we got home and the imprint was still left our your cheeks. But after your 3 drinks in, it didn’t even matter what you were sitting on.
But the reason we were there was to support Lana Rae of KIS Agency very special event coming to Maryland and that is the Fashion Awards MD. This event was the official start party to the 1st annual event of this type for Maryland coming spring 2012. At this event there were several stations set up for the attendees to enter in their choice of nomination for a host of categories to be presented at the awards ceremony.
The club hosted by Konan of 92Q with LIVE Broadcasting and fiancé to Lana Rae they began to fill the entire place and the hostesses of the night circulated around the room discussing and offering the patrons there chance at supporting local talent and media with there nominations. Once you complete your entries then you return to the party and drinking and as you can see from some the pictures a good time was had. We wish we could have stayed the entire night but we had SLUTWALK DC in the morning.
We are very proud of Lana Rae for all her accomplishments in her field and will continue to support any and everything she does.
