Yesterday there was another tragic event at Virginia Tech. Just when the students began to feel safe again after the 2007 incident where a shooter killed 33 people on the campus of the school another person (not a student of the school) killed a Virginia Tech Officer while he was sitting in his vehicle.
It has been reported that the shooter had no ties to the officer or the school, he then took his own life by gunshot. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the officer and the gunman because life will never be the same for either of them, as well as the students of Virginia Tech because the fear has definitely been restored.
