After three seasons one of our favorites has gone the way of many others with the status of CANCELLED. HawthoRNe starring Jada Pinkett-Smith has seen its last season, announced today, that you will not be seeing what happen to Marc Anthony's character. If you were a avid viewer as we were, you know that in the season finale Marc Anthony's character was shot by an unknown assailant leaving Pinkett-Smith's character sitting in the street applying pressure to his gun shot wound screaming "HELP!". So how do you end a season like that and leaving the loyal viewers hanging. The least they could have done was give it a last season this Fall to end the speculation on whether he died or not.
Jada released a statement via twitter:
“Hey everyone...if you don't know Hawthorne will not be returning for another season,” she wrote. “I want to say thank you to all the fans for beingHawthorne soldiers. All our facebook fans...twitter soldiers and viewers...you held us down. Of course you know there is more to come...believe it!”
All of this comes as reports of low rating hit the net and when the rumors started flying that Pinkett-Smith and Anthony's character may have took the sex scene they portrayed on TV off the HawthoRNe set and into real life. Ewwww, banish the thought! This than brought eyes to the show but it seems that it was already too late because the season was already over when the alleged news broke. If only the rumor would have broke mid-season maybe we wouldn't be left in the dark on the next chapter of the show. Now what will you do next summer when this great show doesn't return?
